It doesn't stop when someone arrives at work.

Endometriosis affects every part of life, including careers, financial wellbeing, progression and workplace participation.

By improving awareness, education and support, organisations can help employees stay engaged, productive and supported throughout their health journey.

Endometriosis is a chronic, whole-body disease.

  • "frendo@work plays an important role in not just helping people with the condition to manage it alongside their career, but by educating employers so that they can sufficiently support their staff.”

Mr Shaheen Khazali, Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Surgeon

  • "People often withhold their diagnosis, as they fear it will be used against them in the workplace, potentially leading to subtle forms of workplace discrimination. The lack of awareness can create a culture of silence around endometriosis, hindering open communication and advocacy for necessary workplace accommodations."

Kathleen King, Medical Scientist and Endometriosis + Adenomyosis Advocate

  • "Due to the invisible nature of the disease, it's challenging for employers and coworkers to grasp the severity of the condition, making it difficult for those affected to receive the necessary support and adjustments to their work environment."

Dr Ramiro Carbrera. Endometriosis Expert & Excision Surgeon

  • Through awareness events like the frendo@work event hosted at Salesforce Tower London, we are not only able to provide valuable resources and support for employees managing endometriosis, but also able to raise awareness and foster a sense of community and understanding within our organisation.”

Niamh Smyth, Slack Women's Health Lead EMEA
