frendo is for everyone.

We are here for endo sufferers, those awaiting diagnosis,
and everyone who is trying to support them.

We started as a social network, then a symptom tracker, and now we’ve grown into so much more.

frendo harnesses technology and evidence-based science into our app, resources and programs to encourage people living with endo, or suspected endo symptoms, to trust their bodies again.

We are on a mission to help individuals, partners, families, companies, and medical institutions tackle endometriosis with the vigour it needs. This disease must be attacked from all sides, and we are here to join the fight.

Hi! I’m Dearbhail, founder
of frendo and fellow
endometriosis sufferer.

Prior to launching frendo I worked in a range of jobs across Ireland, UK and Australia, including CancerAid and KPMG Australia, in Head of Marketing roles and the Australian Olympic Committee as Commercial Manager.

I have taken a lot from my experience in those roles through to building this business. I built frendo as a gift to a younger me and I hope other younger people, as a source of hope and community for everyone who is living with endometriosis and feeling alone, and as a way to shout louder about this disease.

I spent years suffering from so many symptoms that no doctor could explain.

In the important years of teenage and early adulthood, living in my erratic body left its mark. I looked down at my body that I was supposed to be learning to love, and felt unable to trust it.

Doctors’ experience with endometriosis has historically been very limited, and each closed door or misdiagnosis made me question, are these symptoms in my head?

It took 18 years to receive my own endo diagnosis, to finally have a name for life-altering symptoms. This is why part of our frendo mission is to drastically reduce the time it takes a person to be diagnosed.

“I have no doubt that the emotional weight you carry while searching for a diagnosis exacerbates the inflammatory nature of how this chronic illness presents itself.”
